Voice Characterization: Meg Ryan

Sam was born in 1983, aboard the Space Station Cerberus. Her father was her mentor and best friend during most of her life. He taught her all there is to know about the physics and mechanics of building structures and vehicles in space, and he is credited as the paradigm of the space civilization that has developed from his work throughout the Milky Way Galaxy.

When she was sixteen, she began building her first space craft with her father. By eighteen, the craft was finished, and her father said to her it was time she found her life. Sam packed up her things, and moved into her space craft, Genesis. She traveled to Calipso, (a moon of Jupiter), to set up a shop where she spent five years engineering snow crafts for Calipso, Io, Europa, and Ganymede.

In the years she spent on Calipso, she worked on a personal project: her first space station, Felixia, named after her father Felix. Upon the fifth year, the Felixia was complete, and she moved her shop inside. For close to a year, she traveled through the solar system, doing commission work for customers in need of vehicles and vehicle repairs. This work led to her encounter with the Dreadknot.

Sam decided to return to Cerberus to visit her father, and surprise him with Felixia. When she arrived, she found her father with a mistress. Devestated by this revelation, she swore never to return. It was on Cerberus that the Dreadknot had docked in order to find Sam, and force her to do repairs on the war-torn ship. When she reached the docking bay, she was met by The Captain, ordering her to board the Dreadknot, Hektor in great irritation, and Noah, asking her politely if she would do some work on the ship, (obviously with alterior motives.) When Sam looked over at the name "Felixia" inscribed on her space station, she agreed to leave with them, and left the Felixia behind on Cerberus.

She became the Dreadknot's mechanic, working primarily in the hanger, and left the memory of her father in that moment on Cerberus.
