Voice Characterization: Matthew Broderick

Cybrus was born in the year we know as 1957, on the planet (in English) Nimniad, in a solar system close to the star at the center of Andromeda. He is known as an insibian, a sort of spider/frog hybrid creature. Insibians are known most for their second set of focuscenetic eyes. These eyes portrude, and set at a slant in either side of the head. They can focus up to x10,000 in terms of a standard microscope, and they move very quickly. His species lives nearly two hundred years. Cybrus is fairly young, at the age of fifty, where as his father, Nexis, and uncle, Matterix are around one hundred, and his grandfather, Alphum, draws closer to two hundred.

Cybrus's father, Nexis, and his uncle, Matterix, were both key generals on Nimniad. Nexis was at the forefront of new age technology, where Nimniad would transfer all weapons technology from technorganics to computer technology. Matterix, on the other hand, was at the conservative frontline for technorganic preservation. The war between Nexis and Matterix was a silent one. This revolution in weapons technology, code named "Romulus," was to be kept top secret, to keep surrounding planets from access to such technology before Nimniad was through the process of switching. However, when Matterix realized that the government of Nimniad was pushing toward Nexis's plan, his political front changed drastically, and he began work on a plan to overthrow the government. However, he knew that before this move could take place, he would have to destroy every trace of Romulus, to keep the public from knowing what greatness would never be theirs.

As a child, Cybrus was Nexis's only outlet for his plans for the greatness of Nimniad. Though Nexis knew Cybrus didnt understand, he spoke with great distinction, as if he were giving a speech to the Nimniad government's Military Division. When Nexis realized Cybrus was beginning to speak and walk, he knew he could no longer confide in his innocence and ignorance. He let Cybrus take on his own interests, which ironically happened to be technology. During this time, Cybrus learned a great deal about technorganics. He enjoyed the company of his uncle Matterix, who taught him even more than Nexis could about organic technology, and it's reliance on the sun and the planet.

The silent war between Nexis and Matterix ended abruptly, when Matterix murdered Nexis to keep Romulus from the public eye. When he questioned Nexis about the whereabouts of the Romulus archives, Nexis gave him no information. However, when Matterix spun around in his head all the places that Romulus could be, he noticed immediately that Cybrus was missing. Nexis had technorganically implanted a map to the whereabouts of the Romulus data sphere directly into Cybrus's brain, and equipped it with a time trigger. He forced Cybrus onto a pod, and shot him towards the Milky Way Galaxy, where Cybrus would live in ignorance of Romulus until the time came for him to retrieve it, and return it to Nimniad. Upon the pod's entrance into the Milky Way, it crashed through the glass wall of the Dreadknot's hanger. Once the hanger was pressurized, Sam opened the pod and rushed Cybrus out of the hanger, to the cargo bay, where the crew met up with her.

Cybrus would soon become the Dreadknot's computer programmer, technician, and data analyst, working the computer core mainframe from inside the core itself. He calls his station the "Nucleox," and monitors every line of code that passes through the Dreadknot's computer system. He upgraded the ship's method of storing data from disc to sphere. (The datasphere was designed by Cybrus' father, and can hold three hundred times the data than a standard disc.)
